For twenty years, Ramon Dor has been developing a musical language he calls the Confluents: compositions in which the forms and disciplines of the classical tradition and the freedoms of improvised music meet and merge, reborn as a single stream, the way two rivers surrender their names as they join.

A hand injury has kept him from the stage since 2016, but the music never fell silent: the language kept growing, and the works kept deepening. Now the first recording, a solo piano album, awaits its release, and the Confluents are at last finding their way to the concert hall.
